Super Fine, Technical Fine, Technical Grade molybdenum disulfide are available, and special grade can be produced according to customers requirement.
Molybdenum disulfide is a good solid lubricant addtive. Main application: grease, friction materials such as brake pads for cars, carbon brush, and plastics.
- Ususally, SF and TF used in grease, TG and Large Particle Grade used in friction materials. Carbon brush is a special industry, all four grades can be used in carbon brush according to different formulas.

Molybdenum Disulfide Powder
Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) is black powder, a “solid” lubricant. The coefficient of friction is between 0.03 and 0.06. It’s density is 4.8 mg/cc. MoS2 is quite underactive chemically. It is not soluble in water or organic solvent. It dissolves only in aqua-regia, hot concentrated sulfuric and nitric acids. It is stable in air under 360 °C.
Molybdenum Disulfide is mainly used as additives in greases as well as sintered pressed metal parts.
